Stars are born at Republican convention...
... while Biden regime still stonewalls on Butler, PA tragedy...
Thursday, July 18, 2024

Former and future President Donald J. Trump is about to accept the Republican presidential nomination in Milwaukee tonight.
Yet, overhanging the convention is the Biden regime’s ducking when it comes to providing answers on what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania five days ago, when Pres. Trump was nearly assassinated after a series of either rookie mistakes or intentionally inept flubs designed to put Trump in an early grave.
Those are the two most obvious explanations. And, enough of the blushing school girl routine that it had to be ineptitude. Not buying it. Not yet. Especially when the Secret Service head, Kimberly Cheatle, was literally running away from Republican Senators yesterday evening in Milwaukee instead of providing them with answers to reassure a nervous nation.
It’s stunning. If it was intentional, we need to know. But then, in that instance, of course, answers would not be forthcoming. Rather officials would be ducking and yes, stonewalling. As they are now doing, suggesting a coverup. Which is deeply concerning and begs the question if Joe Biden’s statement that it was time to “put Trump in the bull’s eye,” was signal not noise—all of a piece with non-stop attempts to put Trump in a grave politically since he announced for president on November 15, 2022. And, then before that, starting with the “Russia, Russia, Russia” hoax.
Let’s hope it was incompetence, and though better than foul play, it’s still cold comfort, and answers must be immediately forthcoming. But, it’s no time for naivete where we are incapable of imagining the worst. Because only by imaging the worst can we prevent a repeat operation and, though, God, amazingly, protected Pres. Trump last Saturday, it is also true that God helps those who help themselves. And, when, we now learn from Congressman Michael Waltz (R-FL) that the shooter had three encrypted overseas accounts at a time Iran has a plan to kill Trump, imagining the worst is not difficult.
Meanwhile, last night at the Republican convention was a sparkling reminder of how truly special America is and how the hand of God is working to bring us back to that shining city on the hill. To wit, Senator J.D. Vance’s (R-OH) speech accepting the Republican vice-presidential nomination was historic. Introduced by his lovely wife, Usha, he then introduced himself and his mother Bev, and the memory of his “Mamaw,” his tough-as-nails, no-nonsense grandmother who raised him when his mother struggled with addiction, as the nation absorbed this smart-as-a-whip leader who embodies the forgotten American. Forgotten no more.
Sen. Vance was preceded by many other bright stars last night notably Don Jr.— who reminded us what “Trump Strong” is—and that that is us, too!; and his daughter Kai Madison Trump, Donald Trump’s oldest grandchild, who was one of the brightest stars, taking the podium and speaking for the first time in her life.Personally, the comment I loved best was when she said, speaking of time spent with her grandfather on the links, “when we play golf together, if I’m not on his team, he’ll try and get inside of my head. And, he’s always surprised that he doesn’t get to me. But I have to remind him that I’m a Trump, too.”
The night highlighted how Donald J. Trump will, once again, make America strong.
One of the most poignant moments came when 98-year-old WWII vet William Peckrul of Wisconsin said he would re-enlist if Donald J. Trump is elected 47th president on November 5. And, like Vance, he spoke to the “idea” of America, but said America is mostly our home, “worth fighting for”—echoing Pres. Trump’s message after he was nearly killed to “fight, fight, fight.”
Meanwhile, Democrats are trying to steal the show as they carry out in broad daylight what is nothing short of a coup, desperate to get Joe Biden to drop out of the race, clueless that Cheatle is the one that should go!
Yet, why bother? After Saturday’s assassination attempt, Trump is so strong—“Trump Strong”—that he will win no matter what.
