Donald J. Trump Sweeps Iowa Caucus in Historic Win
51%: Iowa's symmetric response to the 51 Intel officials who duped voters in 2020
Donald J. Trump’s sweep of the Iowa Caucus last night, in spite of frigid cold weather, garnering 51% of the vote and winning every county of the 99 but Johnson, which he lost by just one vote, was nothing short of spectacular.
He is a force of nature. “Epic,” is how Alina Habba, Trump’s lawyer representing him in the many attempts to kneecap him through the legal system, describes him.
Watching his remarks last evening, resting on my bed, leaning back on my pillows as the clock neared 11 p.m., I finally felt impelled to get up and sit on the edge of my bed to study the man.
It was such an historic performance!
Hemingway-like, his remarks taut and vivid, he ticked off a litany of course-corrections he will undertake, starting as soon as is sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, so that our country, now in decline, might survive and thrive.
First and foremost, he said, “it’s time for our country to come together” to bring America back from the brink. Toward this end, as before, he will exploit our rich energy reserves— “Drill, Baby, Drill”—to once again re-establish our preeminent position of wealth; “seal up the border,” an important national security task given the “terrorists coming in” which will require “deportation” unlike “we’ve seen since Eisenhower”; “straighten out our elections”—that last “one day” and utilize “paper ballots;” “rescue our economy”—by curing “inflation” and “lowering (taxes") further”; restore our decrepit cities, notably our national capital; re-establish peace through strength, which he noted, would have obviated the Ukraine and Israeli wars; restore a smart posture vis-a-vis China and Iran; and “end crime in our cities” which will require us to “come down very hard on criminals and stop crime in America.”
Not to put too fine a point on it, but Iowa voters obviously resonated with Trump’s message. It’s as if the 51% were telling the 51 intel officials who branded the laptop from hell Russian disinformation in 2020 that they won’t be duped again. Nothing but the survival of America is at stake.
