Biden's Gesture and Iran's Threat...
... which Trump, like Reagan, meets with strength...
Lame duck President Joseph Biden appearing on ABC’s The View yesterday signaled that he wants to squash Donald J. Trump. It was after Whoopi Goldberg, complete with sound effects, described the former/future president as an annoying bug whereupon Biden slapped the table, as if ‘extinguishing’ him— which the Commerce Secretary said in recent days should be Trump’s fate.
All of this in the wake of two assassination attempts on Trump’s life as Iran has him in the crosshairs.
Yet Harris/Biden are silent about this putative “act of war.”
Whereas Pres. Trump has spoken clearly. In so many words, he would threaten to turn their country into glass and “there would be no more threats,” he said yesterday in Mint Hill, North Carolina.
Recall that Pres. Trump deprived Iran of wealth by imposing more than 1,500 sanctions on the Islamic republic or on foreign companies or individuals doing business with them, thereby enabling Israel to thrive in peace and the Middle East to be knitted back together, notably through the Abraham Accords.
All of that was dismantled by Harris/Biden, who lifted the sanctions within a month of assuming office, greatly enriching Iran, along with indirect support by Harris/Biden weakening U.S. energy producers, redounding to Iran’s benefit, which produces 3-4 million barrels of oil daily. This newly found wealth has enabled Iran to wreak havoc in the Middle East, indirectly, through the various terrorist regimes including Hezbollah and Hamas, though Iran did directly hit Israel, for the first time, on April 13, which was met with new, narrowly targeted U.S. sanctions, not impacting Iran’s wealth but rather their drone capability.
Now Iran is threatening to assassinate Pres. Trump.
Let me repeat that so that it sinks in.
The Islamic Republic of Iran—whose opening act in 1979 was to take 53 Americans hostage for 444 days, who were finally freed the moment President Ronald Reagan was sworn into office—is threatening to assassinate Pres. Trump.
The apparent reason for seeking his assassination is in retaliation for his ordering, on January 3, 2020, the death of Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force that, among other unspeakable acts, planted countless IEDs that blew off the limbs and blew out the brains of American soldiers during the Iraq War.
Yet, Harris/Biden fail to speak up about Iran’s bellicose act, nor are they investigating, with dispatch, whether the two would-be assassins were working with Iran— their encrypted cell phones, at this late date, yet to be opened, prompting Pres. Trump to ask Apple to do so.
Until proven otherwise, the operating assumption should be that, yes, Iran was involved.
Of course, Pres. Biden teed up the notion of ‘extinguishing’ Pres. Trump when he told donors just before the first assassination attempt that it was time to put him in the “bull’s eye.”
Besides slapping that table yesterday, Biden described Trump as a “loser” lacking “redeeming value.”
It’s unbelievable.
Yet, it only serves to define Pres. Trump’s opponents, and how very small they are.
Then, too, Pres. Biden also defined Vice President Kamala Harris on The View.
Recall that on July 21, in one of the most undemocratic moves in the history of America, she ousted him in a coup, grabbing the gold ring of the Democrat presidential nomination she did not earn.
Yet, in his view, as Biden said, in a way, she has earned it, for she has been with him every policy step of the way.
That means enriching Iran who has a former president in the crosshairs as Harris/Biden remain silent.
November 5 will be a day of reckoning.
